Another summer has come and gone and with it wrapped up another successful year of the "Crusin' the Peg" Canad Inns Car Show. This year marked its fifth year anniversary and Intercity Autobody is pleased to say we have been participating each year since its birth. We offer the final grand prize for the event, a Complete Paint Job (see Rules & Regulations), which is drawn at the end of summer.

The Grand Prize winner of this years show is Darryl Friend of Winnipeg Manitoba. Darryl is an active participant at Cruisin' the Peg 5, showing a 1979 Firebird. Although it has not been finalized as to what he will decide to paint, some thoughts are already being discussed.

The Metro Business Club has released their award winners for the 2006 - 2007 year. We were lucky to be acknowledged as the New Member of the Year for 2006/2007. Below is a list of the other award winners. Congratulations to everyone!

Metro Winnipeg Business Club announces its board of directors for 2007/2008. Bob Kopac of Inlett Systems Group is president; Kelly Switzer of Allmove Record Storage Systems is past president; Darrell Klein of Darco Building Cleaning is executive vice-president; Lesli Stern of Southwynn Homes Ltd. is treasurer, Darin Hoffman of Mosaic Funeral, Cremation and Cemetery Services is in charge of membership; Carol Carbert of Royal LePage Dynamic Real Estate is in charge of leads/bulletin; Robbie Mydonick of Intercity Autobody is in charge of attendance; and Kerry Knudsen of Spectrum Financial Services is director at large vice-president.

May 20th is the big start of "Crusin' the Peg 5" at Tavern United (formerly Buffalo Bill's) Canad Inns Transcona. This year is going to be great, with themed car club nights, a ton of fun kid's competitions, spotlight charities and a ton of cars, both new and classic to see! An Authentic NASCAR will be down this summer too...

As this years major sponsor, we will be donating a complete paint job* valued at $2,000.00! Many other cool nightly prizes will be given away. As Giant Tiger has jumped on board with the show, there will be a great big parking lot for all you car enthusiasts to come down and show off your ride. And for all the spectators, that only means more cars to see!

I hope to see everyone come out and enjoy the day! Bring the family, come for the cars, stay for the food... how much better could a Sunday afternoon get?!
